Former Marquette center Oso Ighodaro is signing a three-year contract extension to remain with the NBA Phoenix Suns. As part of the agreement, the Suns will pick up Ighodaro’s extension for the 2027-28 season, worth $2,500,000. The new deal is worth $29,000,000, and will begin in the 28-29 season and run through the 2030-31 season. Ighodaro played in all 82 games for the Suns last season, averaging seven points, five rebounds and two assists per game. He also shot 65% from the floor, although he only shoots 49% from the foul line for his NBA career. Ighodaro will likely receive lots of playing time for the Suns early this season, as veteran center Mark Williams is sidelined with shoulder surgery. He played at Marquette between 2020 and 2024, averaging nine points and five rebounds per game in 109 career games.
