Podziemski signs extension with Golden State

Former Wisconsin high school basketball standout Brandon Podziemski is signing a five-year contract extension with the NBA Golden State Warriors, worth $110,000,000.  Podziemski led the Warriors in minutes played last season, and started 43 games, averaging 14 points, five rebounds and four assists per game, while shooting 37% from three-point range.  He is a native of Greenfield and played high school basketball at St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield, and was named Wisconsin’s Mr. Basketball in 2021.  Podziemski played college basketball at Illinois and Santa Clara, and was chosen by Golden State with the 19-th pick of the 2023 NBA draft
