Baldwin to play pro basketball in Serbia

By Gene DeLisio Oct 7, 2026 | 4:26 PM

Former Wisconsin high school basketball standout Patrick Baldwin, Jr. will play pro basketball this season in Serbia.  Baldwin is the son of former UW-Milwaukee men’s basketball coach Patrick Baldwin, and he played high school basketball at Sussex-Hamilton.  He was highly recruited coming out of high school and chose to play for his father at UWM, but injured his knee early in his freshman season.  Baldwin played sparingly for the Panthers, and his father was fired at the end of the season, so the younger Baldwin entered the NBA draft.  He was chosen by Golden State with the 28-th pick in the 2022 draft.  In the previous four seasons, Baldwin has played for five NBA teams and is averaging four points per game.  Baldwin will play this season for Crvena Zveda in Serbia, and that team also includes former NBA players Jonathan Motley and Jared Butler.
