Cooper out for season with achilles injury

Doctors now confirm that Green Bay Packer linebacker Edgerrin Cooper has a torn achilles which will sideline him for the rest of this season.  Cooper suffered the injury during the Packers’ win over Tampa Bay on Sunday, and he underwent an MRI on Monday.  Cooper was a second round draft pick by Green Bay in 2024, and earned a starting spot on defense last season, recording 118 tackles.  Through three games this season, Cooper has 21 tackles and two sacks.  Green Bay’s defense is already shorthanded as edge rusher Micah Parsons is not expected to recover from the achilles injury he suffered last season until sometime in November.
