Nieves out at Detroit

Former Milwaukee Brewer pitcher Juan Nieves is looking for a new job in baseball.  Nieves will not return as assistant pitching coach for the Detroit Tigers next season.  Nieves pitched for the Brewers between 1986 and 1988, but his pitching career was cut short by an arm injury.  He has coached in various levels of professional baseball since 1992, and has worked for the Tigers since 2021.  Nieves was a bullpen coach for the Chicago White Sox for several years, and has served as pitching coach for both the Boston Red Sox and Miami Marlins.
