Chenal out for season with neck injury

Former Wisconsin Badger linebacker Leo Chenal will miss the rest of the NFL season because of neck surgery.  Chenal now plays for the Washington Commanders, and suffered a fracture in his neck during Sunday’s game with Seattle.  He has feeling in his extremities and expects to make a full recovery.  Chenal is a native of Grantsburg, and played for Wisconsin between 2019 and 2021.  He was chosen by Kansas City on the third round of the 2022 NFL draft, and played for the Chiefs from 2022 through last season.  Chenal then signed a three-year contract, worth $24,750,000 with Washington prior to this season.  He has 218 tackles and seven sacks in four NFL seasons.
