Gilman to leave Cloverbelt Conference

The WIAA is approving the move of Gilman High School from the Cloverbelt Conference to the Lakeland Conference for the fall of 2027.  The Pirates will play in the Lakeland in all sports, except football, starting next season.  In football, Gilman will remain a member of the eight-man North Central-East Conference.  Gilman has played basketball in the Cloverbelt Conference since 1934, and played conference football since 1952.  Among current schools, only Thorp and Cadott have been Cloverbelt members longer than Gilman.
