UW-Oshkosh names Bronson-Schultz and women’s coach

UW-Oshkosh is naming Lindsay Bronson-Schultz as its new women’s basketball coach, replacing Marshfield native and longtime coach Brad Fischer.  Bronson-Schultz spent the previous nine seasons as the women’s head coach at Carroll University in Waukesha, where her teams were 134-114, including 100-36 over the last five seasons.  She has also assisted at UW-Parkside, Bradley and UW-Milwaukee, and played college basketball at Cardinal Stritch.  Fischer stepped down at Oshkosh in June to become an assistant at Division I Nebraska.  He coached at Oshkosh for 14 seasons, earning a record of 315-80, twice advancing to the NCAA Division III national semi-finals.
