Ruedinger to assist at UWGB

Former UW-Green Bay basketball standout Preston Ruedinger will return to the Phoenix to assist men’s basketball coach Doug Gottlieb.  Ruedinger played high school basketball at Oshkosh-Lourdes, and helped Lourdes win the WIAA Division IV state championship in 2021, averaging 26 points per game that season.  He remains twelfth on Wisconsin’s career high school boys basketball scoring list with 2349 points.  Ruedinger played one year of college basketball at Valparaiso, and then transferred to UW-Green Bay in the spring of 2023.  He played 88 career games over three seasons for the Phoenix.  As a senior in 2025-26, Ruedinger averaged 12 points, four rebounds and five assists per game.
