Brewers place Yelich on injured list

The Milwaukee Brewers are placing outfielder/DH Chrisian Yelich on the 10-day injured list with a strained groin, and selecting the contract of infielder/outfielder Greg Jones from their ‘AAA’ farmclub in Nashville.  Yelich left the Brewers’ game on Sunday because of the injury, and it is believed that he will be sidelined for four to six weeks.  He is batting .314 this season, with one home run and ten rbis in 15 games.  Yelich is in his 14-th major league season, and ninth in Milwaukee.  Jones played in three games for the White Sox last season and in six games for Colorado in 2024.
