FitzPatrick out with achilles injury

By Gene DeLisio Dec 23, 2025 | 12:25 PM

Another severe injury for the Green Bay Packers–tight end John FitzPatrick has a torn achilles, and will miss the rest of this season.  FitzPatrick was hurt during the Packers’ loss to Chicago on Saturday.  The Packers’ tight end group is already depleted, since Tucker Kraft suffered a torn ACL in November.  FitzPatrick received most of the snaps at tight end in Kraft’s absence, with some snaps also going to Luke Muskgrave.  FitzPatrick is in his second season with the Packers–he caught just one pass last season, but has 12 catches for 72 yards and one touchdown this season.  Another Packer tight end, Josh Whyle is now sidelined with a concussion, so Green Bay may have to bring up McCallan Castles or Drake Dabney from the practice squad.
