Banasik steps down at Prairie du Chien

Former Columbus High School boys basketball coach Andy Banasik is
stepping down as head coach at Prairie du Chien High School.  Banasik
came to Marshfield to coach the Dons in 1991 and led the Columbus
program for two seasons, leading the Dons to the WIAA state tournament
in Milwaukee in 1992.  He then returned to his native Prairie du Chien
as head coach, eventually becoming school district administrator.
Banasik won ten conference titles at Prairie du Chien, and led Prairie
du Chien to the WIAA state tournament in 2016.
