Two area players will participate in the WIAA Girls Basketball Three- Point Challenge at the Resch Center in Green Bay on Saturday. Pittsville's Reese Grimm, who shot 46% from three-point range this season, will be a Division V participant, and Kacy Eggebrecht of Phillips will represent Division IV. Kacy shot 49% on three this season. The other participants are Rainey Welson of Hortonville and Natalie Mueller of Homestead in Division I; Addison Pytleski of Green Bay-Southwest and Sarah Aleknavicius of Grafton in Division II; Lucia Jensen of Brookfield Academy and Tannah Radloff of Prairie du Chien in Division III; Lindsey Schadewaldt of New Glarus in Division IV; and Madolyn Haffner of Gresham in Division V. The Three-Point Challenge will take place Saturday morning at 9:30 at the Resch Center, prior to the Division V girls basketball championship game. The top two shooters statewide in each division are selected for the Three-Point Challenge, although players whose teams advance to the state tournament are not eligible, and their spots are taken by those players next in line in the final Three-Point Challenge standings.
