Two former Marshfield Tiger wrestlers are ranked number-one in the nation in their weight classes in the NCAA Division III individual rankings this week. Nolan Hertel, who now wrestles for UW-LaCrosse, is number-one at 157, and Bentley Schwanebeck-Osterman, who wrestles for Augsburg of Minnesota is the top wrestler at 184. Hertel won the Division III championship at 157 last season, and is now 18-0 this year and 112-13 in his career at LaCrosse. Schwanebeck-Osterman was fourth in the nation at 184 in 2023, and he is 20-1 this season, and 102-29 for his college career. Meanwhile, Stephen Buchanan of Loyal, who now wrestles for Oklahoma, is ranked number-five in the NCAA Division rankings at 197. Stephen is 17-0 for the Sooners this season. He is in his first season at Oklahoma, after wrestling at Wyoming for the previous three seasons. Stephen has a career record of 76-22.
