Wisconsin Badger quarterback Marshall Howe is entering the NCAA transfer portal and will leave the Badger program. Howe was a preferred walk-on at Wisconsin last fall. He is from southern California, but played a postgraduate season at a prep school, Avon Old Farms in Connecticut. In 2021, Howe passed for 2730 yards and 34 touchdowns. Observers say Howe was impressive in Wisconsin’s spring camp, moving up to number-three on the depth chart. The Badgers, however, brought in quarterbacks Braedyn Locke, Nick Evers and projected starter Tanner Mordecai for next season, and Howe wants to go to a school that will put him on scholarship and give him a chance to start. Howe did not appear in a game for Wisconsin last season, so he should have four years of eligibility at his new school.
