Several NFL teams are interested in signing former Wisconsin Badger running back Melvin Gordon, who was waived by Denver earlier this week. Gordon has played in ten games for the Broncos this season, rushing for 318 yards and two touchdowns, an average of 3.5 yards per carry. He also has 25 catches for 223 yards. Gordon says he has been contacted by several teams that may want to add him to their roster for the final few weeks of the season. He adds that group includes teams that are in contention for a playoff berth. Gordon was a first round draft pick by San Diego in 2015, and played for the Chargers for five seasons before signing with Denver prior to the 2020 season. He has rushed for 6462 yards and 87 touchdowns in his NFL career, and ran for over 1100 yards for the Chargers in 2017. Gordon ran for almost 2600 yards for the Badgers in 2014.
