Nyok commits to Marquette

South Florida center Akol Nyok will play college basketball at Marquette next season.  Nyok is 7’1 and attends Columbus High School in Miami.  He averaged seven points and five rebounds per game last season as a high school junior.  Scouts believe Nyok’s offensive development is still behind his defense, but he has enough athleticism to defend guards on the perimeter.  Nyok selected Marquette over scholarship offers from Virginia Tech and Kentucky.
