Marquette women add French player

The Marquette women’s basketball program is adding a player from France for this season.  6’2 center Amina Traore will play for the Golden Eagles this season.  Traore is from Paris, and played for France in the FIBA U-19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in 2022 and 2023.  She also played last season for Monaco BA in France’s LF2 League, averaging three points and two rebounds per game.  Traore is already 22 years old, so under the new NCAA eligibility rules, she may only have two seasons of eligibility at Marquette.
