Martinez to play for Marquette

Florida prep basketball standout Marlon Martinez will play college basketball at Marquette in the fall of 2027.  Martinez is a 6’5 shooting guard, who attends The Academy of Central Florida near Orlando.  Although his high school stats are not available, Martinez averaged 19 points, six rebounds and four assists per game for the Dominican Republic in the FIBA U-18 Americas tournament this summer, while shooting 48-percent from three-point range.  Martinez also had scholarship offers from Illinois, Ohio State and Mississippi State.
