Auburndale High School has a new head football coach…that job goes to longtime football and basketball assistant Brandon Roberson. Roberson succeeds Jay Anderson, who is stepping down after 16 seasons as head coach. Anderson actually had two stints as head coach at Auburndale, between 1999 and 2005, and again from 2017 through last season. He compiled an overall record of 116-50, including 7-2 last season. Anderson led Auburndale to ten wins or more in three different seasons, and the Eagles have been above .500 in each of the last seven seasons. Auburndale failed to make the WIAA football playoffs in only two seasons under Anderson.
