Brewers recall Pratt from Nashville

By Gene DeLisio Jun 14, 2026 | 9:30 PM

The Milwaukee Brewers are recalling shortstop prospect Cooper Pratt from their ‘AAA’ farmclub in Nashville, and Pratt should make his major league debut with the Brewers this week against Cleveland.  Pratt is considered one of the top prospects in the Milwaukee organization–he signed an eight year contract worth almost $51,000,000 in April.  That is the third largest contract ever given to a player who has no major league experience.  Pratt is hitting .244 at Nashville, with six home runs and 32 rbis.  He was drafted out of high school by the Brewers in the sixth round of the 2023 amateur draft, and has played in the Milwaukee farm system for the last three seasons.  The Brewers are looking for offensive help from their infield, as shortstop Joey Ortiz  and third baseman Luis Rengifo are both batting just .204.
