Veteran assistant Lance Westberg is leaving UW-River Falls to become the men’s basketball coach at the University of Northwestern. Westberg is a 2013 Northwestern graduate, who has worked on the River Falls staff for the last nine years. He is also a former head coach at Houghton College of New York. Westberg replaces his former Northwestern coach Tim Grosz, who is leaving after coaching the Northwestern men’s basketball program for 26 years. Grosz will become the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at the University of Northern Colorado.
