The Toronto Blue Jays are placing centerfielder Daulton Varsho of Marshfield on their ten-day injured list because of left wrist inflammation. Because of the injury, Daulton has not been in the starting lineup for the Jays since June 5, although he came off the bench in three games since suffering his injury. Daulton is batting .256, with five home runs and 17 rbis this season. He also walks in 19-percent of his plate appearances. The Blue Jays are not sure how long Daulton will be sidelined. To replace Daulton on the roster, the Blue Jays are activating catcher Alejandro Kirk, who has not played this season after undergoing thumb surgery in April.
