UW-Oshkosh names new men’s basketball coach

UW-Oshkosh is hiring Steve Schweer as the Titans’ men’s basketball coach.  Schweer served as men’s basketball coach at Illinois College for the last eight seasons, leading the Blue Boys to a record of 114-79, including two 20-win seasons.  He has also worked in the men’s basketball programs at North Central of Illinois, North Park and Monmouth, and began his coaching career on the staff at Lakeland College in Sheboygan in 2008.   Schweer played college basketball at Illinois Wesleyan.  At Oshkosh, Schweer succeeds Matt Lewis, who is leaving the Titans after eight seasons as head coach to join his wife in her position in administration at Illinois Wesleyan.
