Pairings are set for the NCAA Division III softball and baseball tournaments. The UW-Stevens Point softball team will play this week at a regional in Winona, hosted by St. Mary’s. The Pointers play St. Mary’s in the first round Thursday at 11:00. The other teams in that regional are Bethany Lutheran of Minnesota and Calvin of Michigan.
The UW-Oshkosh softball team goes to a regional at Washington of St. Louis. The Titans face Illinois College in the first round Thursday at 2:30. The other teams in that field are Washington and Capital of Ohio. In baseball, UW-LaCrosse is headed to the regional at Millikin of Illinois, and will face Millikin in the first round Friday at 2:30. Also at that regional are Baldwin-Wallace of Ohio and Wartburg of Iowa. And UW-Whitewater, at 41-4, will host a Division III regional this weekend. Play begins Friday with the Warhawks playing Macalester of Minnesota, and Bethany Lutheran facing Luther of Iowa. All of these baseball and softball regionals are double elimination and will continue through the weekend. Regional winners advance to super-regionals next week.
