UW-Oshkosh will look for a new men’s basketball coach as Matt Lewis is stepping down from that position. Lewis is leaving Oshkosh as his wife now serves in the administration at Illinois Wesleyan University, and has been performing that job remotely. The Lewis family will now move to Bloomington, Illinois so that she can handle that job in person. Lewis has served as Oshkosh men’s basketball coach for eight seasons, with a record of 141-62. He led the Titans to the Division III national championship while serving as interim head coach in 2019. Lewis coached the Tigans to three regular season championships in the WIAC, two conference tournament titles, and four appearances in the NCAA Division III national tournament. That includes a run to the Elite Eight in 2023. He has been on the Oshkosh men’s basketball staff since 2012.
