Rockford women hire Pointer assistant

Assistant coach Bruce Williams is leaving the UW-Stevens Point women’s basketball program to become the head coach at Rockford College in Illinois.  Williams is a UW-Green Bay graduate and spent ten seasons as girls basketball coach at Wild Rose High School.  He was on the women’s basketball staff at Cornell of Iowa for one season, and then joined the staff of Pointer coach Matt Hockett in the fall of 2024.  Rockford was 1-24 last season under head coach Matt Winters.
