UW-Oshkosh hires flag football coach

Oshkosh native Deante Jefferson will serve as the first head coach of the UW-Oshkosh women’s flag football team.  Jefferson is a 2022 graduate of UW-Stevens Point, and has worked with the varsity and JV football programs at Appleton-North High School for the last three years.  He also coached the North flag football team in the spring of 2025.  The Titans hope to begin play in the spring of 2027.  UW-Stout fielded a flag football team last spring, and finished the season 8-3, mainly playing Minnesota schools.  Adalyn Lehman of Mosinee played as a grad student on the Stout team this season.  Lakeland of Sheboygan and Marian of Fond du Lac also plan to add flag football teams in the near future.
