Auburndale’s Sylviann Momont is the new head coach of the
Ripon College men’s and women’s track program. Sylviann
assisted for the last two seasons at UW-Oshkosh, and was
named the US Track and Cross Country Association North Region
Men’s Indoor assistant coach of the year in 2024. Sylviann
competed in track and field at UW-Stevens Point, and
received six NCAA All-American honors in the pentathlon,
heptathlon and high jump. She was a five-time WIAC champion
in those events for the Pointers. During her high school
career at Auburndale, Sylviann qualified for the WIAA state
meet in 13 events, finishing fifth in the long jump as a
freshman in 2013, and sixth in the 100-hurdles as a senior in
2016. The Ripon men and women both finished in second place
last spring at the Midwest Conference Outdoor Championships.
