Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho will have to delay his return
to major league action. Daulton is on the Blue Jays Injured List because
of a strained hamstring. He began facing pitching and taking some ground
balls this week, but felt tightness in the hamstring while running the
bases. He will stop running for now, and the Blue Jays will continue to
monitor his recovery. Once Daulton is considered healthy enough, the Jays
will send him to one of their minor league teams for a rehab assignment.
He also missed the start of this season while recovering from off-season
shoulder surgery.
