Badger athletic budget nears 200-million

The University of Wisconsin athletic budget is inching close to
$200,000.000.  The school is asking for a budget with just under
$199,000,000 in expenses for the 2025-26 academic year.  The school
justifies the increase by pointing to more than $20,000,000 coming to
the university in revenue sharing funds next year.  Also, the Badger
football team will make five road trips next season, with games at
Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, Indiana and Minnesota.  Wisconsin is also
adding a five-percent increase in operating expenses for programs
other than football.
