Two key members of the Marquette women's basketball program are entering the NCAA transfer portal. Both Liza Karlen and Mackenzie Hare are putting their name in the portal and may play elsewhere next season. Hare just finished her sophomore season at Marquette, averaging 14 points per game and shooting 43% from three-point range. In addition, Liza Karlen is also entering the transfer portal. Karlen played four years of basketball at Marquette, but has a fifth year option because of the COVID-19 pandemic. She averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game for the Golden Eagles this season. These decisions mean that the Marquette women will return no starters for next season, and their leading returning scorer is freshman Skylar Forbes, who averaged five points per game this year.
