UW-Platteville Athletic Director Kristina Navarro passed away earlier
this week at the age of 39. An unborn daughter also died with her.
Navarro was a Madison native. She ran track for UW-LaCrosse, and
received her Masters Degree from North Carolina and her Ph.D from UW-
Madison. She also worked in athletics departments at Madison, UW-
Whitewater, North Carolina and Oklahoma, and joined the Platteville
staff in 2019.
