Former Wisconsin Badger edge rusher Andrew Van Ginkel is in line for a contract extension from the Miami Dolphins. Van Ginkel is in his fifth season with Miami, and is set to reach free agency next summer. He has played in 65 games for the Dolphins, compiling 216 tackles, 15 sacks and 30 tackles for loss. Although he is only a part-time starter, Van Ginkel has not missed a game in the last since 2019. He signed a one- year deal worth $2,650,000 prior to this season, and is in line for a raise before 2024. Van Ginkel has played in 62% of the Dolphins' defensive snaps this season, and has 35 tackles, four sacks and ten quarterback hits.
