Jenkins to miss time with knee injury

By Gene DeLisio Sep 20, 2023 | 11:21 AM

Green Bay Packer guard Elgton Jenkins will miss some playing time after suffering a sprained MCL in his left knee during Sunday’s game with Atlanta. There is no word on how long Jenkins might be sidelined, although he is optimistic that he will return sometime this season. Jenkins was hurt on a running play when Packer running back AJ Dillon crashed into the outside of Jenkins’ leg while Dillon fell to the ground. Jenkins will likely be replaced by Royce Newman, who started 16 games as a rookie at right guard for Green Bay in 2021, and then started six more games last season.
