Marshfield’s Brad Fischer is stepping down as women’s basketball coach at UW-Oshkosh, and he will join the women’s basketball staff at the University of Nebraska.  Brad spent the last 14 seasons as head coach at Oshkosh, earning an overall record of 315-80, making him the winningest women’s basketball coach in Oshkosh history.  He led the Titans to the NCAA Division III women’s tournament 11 times, earning trips to the Final Four in each of the last two seasons.  Brad was also named WIAC Coach of the Year six times, won five conference regular season championships, and five conference tournament titles.  He also assisted at UW-LaCrosse and UW-Parkside before taking the job at Oshkosh.  Brad succeeded Terri Schumacher as Oshkosh head coach in 2012, and Schumacher’s predecessor was another Marshfield native, Pam Ruder, who coached the Titans between 1996 and 2005.
