Clayton named women’s coach at UW-Stout

UW-Stout has a new women’s basketball coach…Durand native Sam Clayton will replace Hannah Iverson as the Stout head coach next season.  Clayton has spent the last eight seasons as head coach at Division II Michigan Tech, where she compiled a record of 138-88.  She played college basketball and also assisted at Michigan Tech before taking the head coaching job…and Clayton has also assisted at Sioux Falls and Youngstown State.  Clayton inherits a Stout program that was 13-12 last season under Iverson, who is leaving Stout to take the head coaching job at UW-Eau Claire.
