One of Wisconsin’s most successful baseball coaches will retire at the end of this season. Dave DeGeorge will step down as head coach at Beloit College after leading the Buccaneers since 1991. DeGeorge goes into the 2026 season with 585 career wins, making him the winningest coach in the history of the Midwest Conference. In the last 20 years, Beloit has won three conference championships, and five conference tournament titles The Buccaneers also made appearances in the NCAA Division III tournament in 2023, 2024 and 2025. DeGeorge was also named Wisconsin’s college coach of the year in 2009. He is a 1989 graduate of Beloit College, and his father Ed was the head football coach at Beloit for 29 years.
