Season ends for Northern Michigan basketball

The Northern Michigan University men’s basketball team advanced to the second round of this week’s NCAA Division II national playoffs.  The Wildcats won their first round game over Rockhurst 86-85, by outscoring Rockhurst 10-2 in the game’s final 32-seconds.  Marshfield’s Brooks Hinson had two points, two rebounds, one assist and one block in that game for Northern Michigan.  The Wildcats then ended their season in round two, by losing to Walsh 86-68.  Brooks had two rebounds, one assist and one steal in that game, and he ends his freshman season at Northern Michigan averaging five points, three rebounds and one assist per game.  Northern Michigan ends its season 28-7.
