A former member of the Wisconsin Rapids Twins passed away last month. Frank Hecomovich died at his home in Hilo, Hawaii at the age of 77. Hecomovich pitched in Wisconsin Rapids during the 1971 season, and was 5-10 with a 3.51 ERA in 23 games. He was 8-10 for the Twins’ farmclub in Orlando in 1972 and then left baseball and worked as a sales manager for Motorola based in Hawaii. After his playing career ended, Hecomovich continued to scout for the Twins, and also served as the General Manager for the Hawaii Stars baseball team that was based in Hilo.
