New basketball coach at Alverno

Alverno College in Milwaukee opens this season with a new head basketball coach.  That job goes to Sahill Lakhani, who last season assisted in the men’s program at Dominican University near Chicago.  Lakhani has also worked in basketball programs at Lake Forest of Illinois and Frostburg State of Maryland, and also operates a sports consulting service.  Alverno is an all-women’s school, and was 2-23 last season.  Alverno has not had a winning season in basketball since 2016.
