Three Wisconsin schools remain alive in the NCAA Division III football playoffs. In second round action on Saturday, UW-Platteville beat Alma of Michigan 24-7; UW-River Falls slammed Chapman of California 58-7; and UW-LaCrosse trimmed Hope of Michigan 9-7–Marshfield’s Isaac Dagit had two tackles and one tackle for loss in that game. Also on Saturday, UW-Whitewater lost to DePauw of Indiana 26-23. WInning teams now move on to the national quarter-finals on Saturday. Platteville plays at Bethel of Minnesota; River Falls is at home against St. John’s of Minnesota; and LaCrosse plays at North Central of Illinois. North Central has played in each of the last five Division III championship games, winning three times, including in 2024.
