Wisconsin schools in Division III football playoffs

Five Wisconsin schools will play in the NCAA Division III football playoffs, which begin this week.  Only one school from Wisconsin plays this Saturday, and that’s Concordia of Mequon, which will face Coe of Iowa at Mequon.  The winner plays Bethel of Minnesota in the second round on November 29.  Four schools from the WIAC have byes directly into the second round, and are off this week.  They will open play in round two on the 29-th.  In those contests, Alma of Michigan will play at UW-Platteville; DePauw of Indiana is at UW-Whitewater; UW-LaCrosse is at Hope of Michigan; and UW-River Falls is at home on the 29-th against the winner of Saturday’s game between Chapman of California and Whitworth of Washington.  The Division III national championship game will be at Canton, Ohio on January 4.
