Wauwatosa-East standout to play at Northern Illinois

Wauwatosa-East basketball standout Emma Close will play college basketball next season at Division I Northern Illinois University.  Close is a 5’7 guard, and a four year varsity player at Wauwatosa-East.  She averaged 15 points per game last season, while shooting 46% from three-point range, and led East to the WIAA Division II state championship last season.  Close has scored 1130 points in her high school career, and also had Division I scholarship offers from Chicago State and Mercyhurst.
