The University of Northwestern is the winner of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference women's golf championship for this season. Northwestern won the title this weekend at Becker, Minnesota with a three-day score of 986, finishing 57 shots ahead of UW-Superior. The tournament medalist was Paige Johnson of Northwestern with a three-day score of 239, which was 23-over par. Former Marshfield Tiger golfer Brielle Lenz finished eighth in the final conference standings at 263, 24 shots off the lead. With this conference championship, Northwestern now receives the UMAC bid to the NCAA Division III women's golf championships, to be held next May in Palm Desert, California.
