Brewers claim Avans from Athletics

The Milwaukee Brewers are claiming outfielder Drew Avans on waivers from
the Athletics, and assigning him to their 'AAA' farmclub at Nashville.
Avans signed with the Los Angeles organization in 2018, and played for
Dodger farm clubs until he was picked up by the A's this spring.  He
played in seven games for the Athletics, hitting .133.  Avans will
give the Brewers some extra outfield depth, since Blake Perkins and
Garrett Mitchell are on the injured list, and Christian Yelich is
primarily used as a DH.  Avans played college baseball at Southeast
Louisiana.
