The Wisconsin Badger football program could be headed to litigation over the proposed transfer of defensive back Xavier Lucas to Miami. Lucas announced earlier this week that he would play for Miami in 2025, but that announcement came just weeks after he signed a two-year revenue sharing deal with the Wisconsin collective. That would seem to bind Lucas to the Badgers for the next two seasons. Lucas did not receive a release to the transfer portal from Wisconsin, so there could be legal implications to his departure. Lucas is from Pompano Beach, Florida, and was a freshman at Wisconsin in 2024. He played in eleven games last season, and had 25 tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass interception.
