Springs football coach Hyland retiring

This season marks the end of Bob Hyland’s long tenure as head football coach
at St. Mary’s Springs High School in Fond du Lac. Hyland is retiring after
serving as Ledgers’ head coach for 54 seasons. He is now 77-years old, and
has won 17 state championships, including nine in the WIAA. Springs was 8-2
this season, meaning that Hyland earned 522 wins during his coaching career
at Springs.
