Milwaukee Brewer shortstop Willy Adames is ranked as the number-six free agent on the market this winter. Baseball experts believe Adames could command a six-year contract, worth up to $160,000,000, and San Francisco is believed to be the top contender to sign him. Adames was acquired by Milwaukee from Tampa Bay during the 2021 season, and in four years with the Brewers, he is hitting .244, with 107 home runs. Adames was also considered one of the top defensive shortstops in baseball up to the 2024 season, but his defense declined last season, as he committed a career high 20 errors.
