There will be no shot clock in Wisconsin high school basketball in the near future. The WIAA Board of Control is voting 6-4 against implementing a shot clock for the 2026-27 season. The plan would have also allowed the shot clock in non-conference games, by mutual agreement, during the 2025-26 season. The shot clock is now used in high school basketball in 27 states, with Minnesota among those adding the clock last season.
